Got this from the Mint today... maybe they intentionally flawed the coin to represent the flawed presidency?

Note the bloodless head wound and what appears to be raised lines on the right. Tough to get a good angle on it as I really don't want to take it out of the holder.

Even the dollar sign on the back is all screwy. This coin's just a mess of peaks and valleys.

I guess I expected something better coming directly from the Mint.

I have found that most of the dollar coins in this series have got quite a few bag marks. It seems that is all we can expect.

Mint set coins should not have bag marks.

What about robot marks jbuck?

For some reason this seems to be a common occurrence with pres dollars

The robots need to remember the fourth rule... Do not mess with the coins!

Finding any of the Pres dollars without eye-visible bag marks is a challenge.

Yeah, I think I may cancel my enrollment in this program. That gouge on the head is certainly not just a little scratch. Thanks for your comments, guys.

The problem is that the golden dollars receive twice as much handling as other coins due to the edge lettering process.

Ah, that makes sense.

I am still glad I decided to collect proof-only for these. I bought my first ever Presidential uncirculated set last year so I could have all of the coins which matched my C&C sets.
