Need Help: 1988-P RDV006?

Thats a tough one

Looks like 005 to me. I have also noticed that the F is closer to the building on 006 then 005. I have found one or two 88's and one 88-D 006.

Tommy - this one was a bit tricky and why I posted it for the assist. The bulge on the vertical bar and the notch on the bottom suggest 006. To be honest, I've never seen an 005 with the bulge into the G. That must be a well placed chip. For that matter, the extension of the vertical bar must be a chip too or perhaps a rust bump on the die to create the small notch. But the extended curve at the top of the G suggest 005 as well as the general shape of the G which on the 005 is more uniform.

Sandy - me too. I'll keep flipping but sadly after thousands flipped, still nothing to show.

Coop - the top of the G is what caused my hesitation and the need to post. The extended curve suggested 005 but I couldn't get past the protrusion off the vertical bar into the G. This is a rather unusual initial from what I've seen. I don't recall seeing another 005 that had one. Most, if not all, have the shape of the initial in your comparative photo. And while there is a notch at the bottom of the vertical bar where it meets the lower curve, it seems to occur above the horizontal plain where it probably should be. Two unusual anomalies occurring on the bar of this specimen.
