Having separate albums for each mint Mark is an interesting concept. This would make for an unusual comparison of how each mint design evolved over the years. Despite the intriguing concept my Jefferson nickel collection is in a dansco album which has the coins arranged by year then by mint mark in the order P-D-S.

Dansco's are nice but they can get pretty expensive... You can always use 2x2's and the clear pages for a three ring binder... Easier to rearrange them whenever your OCD kicks in... That's what I do

Quote: Should I switch or? Again, collect what and how you like. Browse the pages of this amazing Forum for ideas and comparisons. Some folks prefer albums, some flips in boxes, and some a combination. Experiment and see what works for you.

I have mine, P/D/S together, in Dansco albums. If you like those CWS books then stick with them.

Most US collectors, myself included, arrange all of the dates of the set in order, then place them by Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints as the order for each date.
If you use the 2X2 with clear pages idea, which is one I love myself because I can create my binders any way I like, I would strongly suggest that you consider the self seal no staple 2X2's. It's much faster to insert your coins, it forms an air tight center (I've used them for over 25 years without a single coin having any toning advancement or creation), and they have a little tab at the top which makes it much easier to put the coin in and out of the pages.
They cost an average of about 15 cents each, which is much more than the common staple 2X2, but I like them. Probably because I like writing details on my 2X2's and without staples I have more room to include those details.

I agree... 2x2 w/o staples!! I love being able to write on the cardboard but I HATE staples!!

awesome thanks for some ideas!
i am going to stick with the blue CSW books that I have been using, its nice being able to buy something that is made almost local and I dont see any real reason to switch... unless someone on here had a valid reason for me to! :)
