Whitman Expo - The Principal Deputy Director of the United States Mint, Rhett Jeppson, will autograph certificates of authenticity and U.S. Mint products at the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Baltimore Expo, Thursday, March 31, 2016. Coin collectors are invited to meet Mr. Jeppson from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center.

From his biography at USMint.gov:
Prior to joining the Mint, Mr. Jeppson served as the Acting Chief Operating Officer of the Small Business Administration, where he oversaw all aspects of the agency's disaster and risk management, personnel, facilities, information technology and equal opportunity programs. He also served as Associate Administrator for Veterans Business Development at the agency.
After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in history in 1987, Mr. Jeppson joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was commissioned as an officer. He served as a Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer and a Battalion Staff Officer, He has been deployed in conflicts ranging from Operation Desert Storm in Iraq to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
Mr. Jeppson continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Mr. Jeppson's meet-and-greet accompanies the release of the new 2016 American Buffalo one-ounce Proof gold coin, which goes on sale at 12:00 noon that Thursday. Specimens of the coin will be available at the Expo for sale to Expo visitors.
The Expo runs from Thursday, March 31, through Sunday, April 3, 2016. The show—one of three held annually at the Baltimore Convention Center—also features more than 1,500 dealers with coins, medals, tokens, and other collectibles for sale; competitively judged exhibits; a Kids' Korner with activities and free coins for young collectors; an auction of rare coins by Stack's.
