I missed this Coin World article earlier this month and just got around to reading it today. http://www.coinworld.com/news/us-co...ins.all.html

The two early error coins are a 1792 Half Disme with a laminated planchet http://coins.ha.com/itm/early-half-...ption-071515 and a 1788 Connecticut copper Double Strike with brockage http://coins.ha.com/itm/colonials/1...ption-071515

The auction ended about a week ago. The Half Disme sold for $35,380.43; the Connecticut brought $30,550.

The errors are out of my price range however I can still appreciate them. -MV

Can't afford 'em, but gotta love 'em!

It's always great to see coins that are rarely seen ... Thanks for posting, MV.

Really amazing coins.

I would bet there are not very many of those.

Maybe one of a kind errors, for those type coins.
