I wasn't convinced of this attribution, because I wasn't certain about the Mintmark/Date positioning. So I did an overlay with the image here: http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=lds
(Image shown here with permission.) What was throwing me off was the date at the coppercoins site is at a bit of an angle. So I think I have a correct attribution?

Hey Pete, Pete here. I'm sure this ? has been asked but I couldn't find it. How do you create the overlay?

I use my photo management software. It's antique! The name of it is Microsoft Picture It! In it I go to "Effects" then to "Transparent Fade" Your program probably has something similar. Then I click and drag it over my image, resizing for a match in the sizes of the devices.

You can Google "Microsoft Picture It" and find free downloads. I have Photoshop and have found it very unfriendly. More than likely it is because I am technologically challenged!

It is hard at first. But after you get it down you can do wonders with it. I'd be glad to steer anyone in the right direction. I've posted this information before on the forum.
