I think there is a member on here who can read Arabic; that will help solve this mystery I think.
Islam strictly forbids depictions of the human form, which makes me think these are not even from an Islamic country. I'm leaning toward some sort of Arabian Nights-themed amusement park that has need for a 1/2 and 1 value token.
The Arabic word I believe is "shilin", the Arabic word for "shilling" - meaning the token presumably comes from one of the East African countries where the "shilling" currency unit was/is still in use: Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya or Uganda.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
