Islam strictly forbids depictions of the human form, which makes me think these are not even from an Islamic country. Sap Moderator Australia 16867 Posts	Posted 03/15/2016 09:27 am The Arabic word I believe is "shilin", the Arabic word for "shilling" - meaning the token presumably comes from one of the East African countries where the "shilling" currency unit was/is still in use: Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya or Uganda.
