I just found that about an hour ago after doing a quick google search... I was almost hoping there would be something along the lines of the system in the NGC video... that would be amazing!! I'm thinking that if PCGS wasn't in CA, that would be a great place for a retirement job... just let me seal the holders, I'll work for minimum wage.

Don't hope to get everything you wish for. Grading the way they want you to do it is a grind. I'd be too slow for them, and perhaps too conservative. As for sealing the coins in the slabs, that would get old fast also. They won't not let you take the time to look at each coin. You have to be on the move.

Writing copy for one of the big auction houses would be better. When I first thought of becoming a dealer, and nother dealer told me that was the job I should shoot for. I dodn't pursue it because I really didn't want to live in California or New York City. Of course there might have been a job for me in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

If I could do anything for a numismatic career I'd like an ownership stake in a coin dealer that did a lot of early copper, Morgan dollar, and Lib Seated business and travelling around to shows across the country getting people excited and enthused about my favorite coins.

Unfortunately I think today most dealers derive their income from flipping, auctions, and lowball purchases from estates. I know several that don't even have B&M shops anymore, having gone entirely web-based / auction-based for sales.

The upcoming EAC convention needs coin handlers for viewing lots and to me that would be an outstanding job even though it's unpaid labor :P

Just remember that the sonically sealed slabs are not air tight. There is some interchange. So even slabbed you need a decent environment, dry with no cooking fumes.
