Looks like it maybe contact that distorted those devices.

I can see now that you have reached the point of looking too hard for varieties. Either they are there or they are not. We all go through this phase. Finding stuff that would be viewed as too minor. When you make your big find, it will leap right out at you. Then you will think: "I was looking too hard for something that wasn't even there, all this time." Too much magnification can be the cause of that issue. I found a minor doubled die the other day and when I tried to get an images of it, the camera couldn't even pick it up. Then I know... Too minor.
