Submitted some coins based on past posts. Got my submission resultss back from NGC today, waiting on shipment...will post pictures soon as they get here. Most of these are coins previously posted here or in CCF Grading so I thought I'd see how CCF did vs. NGC, w/original purchase prices if available. Only one I really struck out on was the toned Walker which came back cleaned. :( Hit nicely on the Jeff, Washington, 3CS & 2C.
1867 2C (major die cracks) - AU53BN (CCF said XF40 to AU50) ($45)
1851 3CS (clash) - XF45 (CCF said VF20 to AU53) ($39)
1950 D Jeff 5c - MS66 5FS (CCF said 64-65 FS) ($7)
1829 Bust SM/LG 10C (JR-9) - G4 (CCF said G4) ($39)
1854 Arrows LS 25C - VF25 (CCF said VF25-VF35) ($21) 1948 S Wash 25c edge toned - MS67 (!!) (CCF said MS64) ($7.99)
1937 Walking 50c toned - AU details, cleaned (CCF said AU50 or AU details) ($23)
1882 Morgan $1 - MS62 (CCF said MS62, I think) ($38) 1889 Morgan $1 toned - MS63 (CCF said MS62, I think) ($51.50)
All in all very happy!! Looks like CCF graders continue to be on the "money" :) I made my submission costs back on just the Washington, which is a $300 coin in 67.

It also shows how difficult it is to grade accurately from photographs, vs. in hand.

I've found on my submissions that the CCF Coin Grading forums tend to be about 80%+ accurate, sometimes approaching 90%. There are some truly excellent graders here :)

wow, go us! part of me is glad to see that CCF is on the conservative side and the general opinion isn't over grading coins. I've always appreciated the posters kind honesty here. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised by the grade on the label than disappointed.

Thanks for sharing. It shows that CCF coin grading is an excellent resource to use before buying raw coins.

I should have the coins back within 3-4 days. I'll photograph them as soon as they arrive.

Well played! The 37 Walker is unfortunate but the overall results are outstanding, especially the '48-S Washington.

Did the Walker detail grade surprise you? I could cot pick up the cleaning from photo.

It did but when I put it under a loupe I saw hairlines in the field obverse left that I must have missed. Would not have submitted otherwise but I had some freebies so no harm done.
