US Mint - The United States Mint (Mint) will open sales for the 2016 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service Commemorative Coins March 24 at noon Eastern Time (ET).

Public Law 113-291 authorizes the United States Mint to mint and issue 100,000 $5 gold coins, 500,000 silver dollar coins, and 750,000 half dollar clad coins to commemorate the centennial of the National Park Service (NPS). The coins will be available in both proof and uncirculated qualities. Product options and pricing are as follows:

Introductory sales pricing for these coins ends April 25, 2016, at 3 p.m. ET, when regular pricing takes effect.

The three-coin proof set has a product limit of 15,000 units, with a limit of two sets per household.

Pricing for the gold coins has been established according to the range in which they appear on the Mint's pricing grid for numismatic gold coins. Visit https://catalog.usmint.gov/ for current pricing information.

All sales prices include surcharges of $35 for each gold coin, $10 for each silver coin, and $5 for each half dollar clad coin, which are authorized to be paid to the National Park Foundation. The funds are to be used for projects that help preserve and protect resources under the stewardship of the NPS and promote public enjoyment and appreciation of these resources.
