Hi --
I've been posting some of my late father-in-law's coins for my mother-in-law to get a sense of their potential value. Here are a couple of his error coins (of which there are many.) Any insights on these errors and potential value would be much appreciated.

First one looks as if 2 coins were pressed together, like in a vice. Transferring detail from one coin to another.
Second one could be an error, capped die maybe?
Others appear to me to be PMD as well. Damaged after they left the mint.
I am no expert, wait for the real answers that will come soon!

Edit: Are these different coins? Or two coins showing both sides?
If only 2 coins shown, then they are probably just damaged coins.

All four are smashed and mangled, there is no indication of die clashes or any other type of error.

I'm not questioning anyone's opinions but on the first one, help me to understand how the wheat could have gotten on the front if not a die clash?

These are two different coins. Both have wheat imprints on the obverse.

OK, to help explain I did a little experiment in my garage. I took 2 memorial cents out into the garage, and pressed them into each other using a vise. If you look at the pictures, you can see how the design is transferred onto the second coin as a mirror image. In the first close-up, you can see the last E in ONE, followed by the C E N of CENT.
In the 2nd close-up you can see the US of pluribus, and the M of unum. These are mirrored as to the real coin.

Now look at the first picture you posted, you can see the letters of ONE CENT mirrored on the coin. It was transferred from one coin being pressed against the other.
I hope this helps explain how it could have been done.
