Common notes. The Canadian Bank of Commerce issued $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills dated as 2nd Jany 1917. All denominations are available in low grades. High grade examples can be difficult to locate. There are dozens of varieties to the 1917 series. I have seen online in a fast search, in 64 EPQ grade sold for $4000 plus. In lower grade in the neighborhood of $220 cad.
If you are collecting this series, I would hold on until you come across a better grade then sell this one. If you are looking to flip and you are making a profit at $175 USD then I would do that. I believe your note is in the lower grades more on the F side then VF, many visible fold marks and the margins are not equal. In my opinion note collectors will spend but on pristine notes. Yours will attract the entry level collector.
ty theburnz. I know the desire in ownership is what it does to your eyes. This note has amazing eye appeal. I showed the owner of this note this thread an he has decided to sell. Now he wants to figure what venue to go with......
