How Did I Do? My First Ike Proofs! - Coin Community Forum

logantrky Valued Member United States 104 Posts	Posted 03/19/2016 11:15 am I stopped in at a local pawn shop that just received a massive amount of coins. I've kept my eye out for graded Franklins. BUT, they had 7-8 brown Ikes and these two caught my eye. They both have really nice toning. The '74 has a beautiful halo on the obverse and the '72 has really nice green/blue toning in the field. The cheapest I've ever bought one for on ebay is $9, but at a coin show I only paid $7. Every now and then I go Ike crazy and just buy tons of them. Right now I'm sort of in hibernation mode.
