Stopped into a LCS and saw some Canadian silver.
They were getting ready to cut open some mint sets,
or maybe proof ...proof like.

I purchased three 1965 sets and three other coins.

Forgot to asked the question ...

Is there any good reason why I should not cut these
sets open and put these coins into my silver box of
coins?

Thanks agHoarder

The box I started last week, the picture is from the first day.
It has more silver in it now. In a month or two it should get
closer to being filled

Of course ..then I will want a bigger box.

PL Sets, might be a nice addition to the box,
there were 2,904,352 sets made, so bullion value.
Would be fun to clink them all in the air like
Scrooge McDuck. Nice Florin there too.

After reading the post here ...

I could not stop myself

I cut the silver out of the sets and put the coins in my box.
Found a roll of silver Canadian dimes in my safe ... Added them too.

I think I am really going to like my mini treasure chest.

What year were the dimes? An uncirculated roll might be $$$
