I'm working on my Sacagawea dollar series and have a question regarding NGC labels. For some reason, NGC doesn't even show on their website that they still offer Sacagawea labels, but I've seen plenty of NGC 2015 Sacagawea's with special Sacagawea labels. So, their website doesn't have representative illustrations for me to look at. So, here's my question. I've noticed two different size Sacagawea labels in the newer edge view slabs.
Smaller:
New-NGC-Sacagawea-Label

Larger:
New-NGC-Sacagawea-Label

All of the NGC slabs I currently have contain the smaller size labels. Is the larger label newer or older? Or, are they offering both? My picky retentiveness compels me to keep things consistent.

The larger label is probably newer. They did a change in the hologram several months ago and the image you have of the large label has the most recent hologram. What does the hologram on you small label look like. (Be advised that the hologram change could have taken place during either one of the front labels. To know which you would have to find an example of a front label with both types of reverse hologram. It is possible that they may have changed both at the same time.)
Rest in Peace

NGC recently changed ALMOST all of their "old" labels to a completely new system, even for plain old "normal" US coins.

I actually like the newer labels better.

The other thing to note on the change is that the "purple" labels (coins with a problem, such as incorrectly cleaned) and the new "brown" label, which is for righteous no-problem coins now look much closer to being the same.

You have to READ what's on the label, now, because the colors between the two are very similar at a first glance.

Thanks for the information. I called NGC and spoke with a nice lady in their customer service department. She told me that the Sacagawea labels are still available, but only to dealers. That's OK. At an additional $15 a pop for something that literally costs the same to print as their regular label, I wouldn't be getting one anyway. It's pretty clear that NGC is trying to discourage collectors from submitting.
