Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these?

I've been told this is an oversized planchet but I'm not sure if that's correct

What is the weight and diameter?

It should be easy to compare with the specifications.

Looks like a dryer or spooned coin. Is the diameter smaller?

Clothesline coin.
Victorian precursor of the Dryer Coin.
Coin would sit above the horizontal bracket, against the wheel, and above the line of sight. As the pulley turned the coin would also turn. After a few thousand washdays the edge of the coin would begin to thicken.

That's a fascinating explanation DBM...

why would the coin be sitting above the horizontal bracket to begin with? Accident?

On a january morning two spinster sisters flipped the coin to see who would take the frozen, stiff as a board laundry down from the line. The coin was lost, the bickering started, the rest is history.
