Once a week the Forum Mod makes this topic somewehere(Dont know where)
It works like people choose to be in the Swap Time. After a week or so the forum MOD randomly makes pairs out of the vouleteers and they have to talk to each other and ask what they like or country trade and MUST swap coins. This happens 1'ce in 2 weeks

This Idea is from another forum.

Thanks!

I'm going to move this into the Main Forum. I'm interested in seeing what kind of feedback this idea gets. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the forced swap. Let's see how the membership feels about it.

I think its a good idea the only thing I would say is participation should be volantary. Members could opt in and out of the program as they wished that way only people who wish to swap would be included.

Do you mean as in eliminated?
Given cement shoes?
Allowed to sleep with the fishes?
or escorted to the Prom?

I think the term "taken out" missed something in the translation

The PCGS boards do this-they have someone screen folks and pair them. If the organizer doesn't know a person someone has to vouch for them. A couple of folks have gotten burned. The organizer sets a dollar amount, and folks swap. Ideally the members get to know each other better and pick coins based on interest. I can't organize this now but would enjoy taking part. I think it shoud just be folks with an interest, and they should sign up specifically.

Don said it all!

The term 'taken out' means for that week or two weeks and thinks he cannot cope with trading.

I keep watching this thread, and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. So let me throw this one out.

ANYONE WANT TO TRADE WITH ME?

We could swap by denomination, grade, value, metal content, or just simply something interesting.

Hey ND I would trade with you anytime but being stuck in Gaza at the moment the only thing I have are some pretty low grade Peace dollars that I got from one of my co-workers. I fear I would not have anything that
would be of interest to you.

Remember that "world" coins also can be used for our CoinFest program, so don't let "my" interest get in the way.

If you are in Gaza there are probably PLENTY of counterfeit U.S. coins floating around over there? Seems to be plenty of them all over Europe and Asia.

I have seen very little here in the way of US coins at all. I did see a bunch of very doubtful US silver in the market in Yaffo.
Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places. I don't get much time to realy go searching so I have to rely on bugging all the people I work with to dig out the stuff that they have at home.

Kid, you are welcome to run a swap event if you want to. I'm curious to see how it turns out.
