I just picked up a 2001 Uncirculated Set with one of the State Quarters flipped. Usually all coins face the same direction, but in the Philly package, the Rhode Island quarter is facing the opposite direction.

I realize it's a simple mint processing error - but would this have any additional value or premium due to this error? I have been working with mint sets for a long time and have never seen this before.

I've had several sets with a coin reverse facing "up" in opposition to the others, two of the "same" coins in the quarter package, and proof sets with foreign objects (one a Lifesaver wrapper) but packaging errors don't seem to bring a premium and I've read of collectors actually returning them to The U.S. Mint for replacement with "perfect" sets.

with freddo30. Not much value. Last time this question came up I did a search on ebay and found quite a number.

Still pretty cool!

And yeah, a Lifesaver wrapper? Cool!

oh, and , Namesbob!
