I just traded $25 bucks for a roll at my bank today. I got this coin which stood out from the rest. Is this common among these coins since they are struck on the sides? It's right where the P is.
These are the best scans I can do.

That is nothing but what we call a rim ding. Just a damage. What I read in CW today is that the P Mint made some Monroe dollars on planchets intended to be used for quarter dollars.

Watch out for Monroe dollars that are the same color as a quarter. There was an estimate by the Mint that says that there could be as many as 140,000 or so of these things in existence.
