Jeff, I picked up my 6 coin Britannia proof set early at $290. APMEX and others had them at $500 but they are sold out. However, because I like my set so much I searched and found some online and bought another. It's more that $290 but less than $500, so if you want the small denominations you need to hurry.

Yeah, the Indian Princess is one of my favorite U.S. coin designs too! I hope to pick up a Type 3 some time in the near-ish future for my type set.

1880 Maundy silver coins from United Kingdom.

1 penny: 11 mm
2 pence: 13 mm
3 pence: 16 mm
4 pence: 18 mm

The US dime is 17.9 mm so that 4p isn't really tiny within the meaning of this thread...

Strike that... according to wikipedia the 4p is 17.63 mm. Numista has it at 18 mm.

PS: where can I get flips to fit? The smallest I have are Guardhouse brand for dimes.

I'm not aware of any. Many British dealers put the whole set in a standard size slip and separate them with staples. I use mylar album pages with pockets in strips that you slide in and out. Coincraft sell special Maundy cases:

Thanks NumisRob - I checked the website and the cases look nice, price is right, but shipping would be a bear. I'll stick to my 2x2s for now. I do get over to Ireland almost every year, maybe I can find a coin shop up North that will have these cases on hand. Hmmm.

PS: my Panama "pill" also needs a better home than a 2x2...!

Nabatea Aretas IV 9 BC-40 AD common circulating copper coinage
AE12 although measuring it seems closer to 11mm from wear.
