There seems to be a line that almost completely goes around the inside perimiter of Washingtons profile. Sorry for so many pics, but whole shot with camera would not pick up the lines.

back of hair. Is this a case of Machine Doubling where the coin bounced in every direction? Charles or Bill any ideas?

To me the lines don't appear to be the exact same shape as the original, especially in the lips and chin pic. I would vote against doubled die. Might be some form of strong Strike Doubling, or a lamination problem.

It looks like shadow to me. I dion't see any doubling, per se. Dick

I'm baffled by the nose/lips area. Like NGiles said, it doesn't follow the original lines.

My vote is no Machine Doubling and no hub doubling. In other words, I have no idea what that is.
