My grandfather brought a few of these back with him after his service in Korea--he was drafted just four months before the end of the war and took the scenic route home with the rest of his battleship. I wonder if yours shares a similar story? I bet that a dip in acetone will do wonders for this coin as far as removing the toning/crud from the lettering. Report this Post to the Staff
