I found this silver coin in a half box. Only silver in 6 boxes. I only know is a "One" something. Which year? Which country? Thanks!

When I first saw this I thought I would have to move it to identification for faster results, but OcalaFlorida came in fast to make that unnecessary!

Nice find, Yinzi50.

Nice score! My grandfather brought a few of these back with him after his service in Korea--he was drafted just four months before the end of the war and took the scenic route home with the rest of his battleship. I wonder if yours shares a similar story?

I bet that a dip in acetone will do wonders for this coin as far as removing the toning/crud from the lettering.
