I have Far Beads and Near Beads in BU or Business Strikes from Bank Rolls, but I need to know more about the other strikes.
I have Near Beads for PL, SP, and PF (I Think), but I cannot seem to find Far Beads for those strike types. How rare is Far Beads in PL, SP, and Proof?

The only PL set I have has a near bead in it. I thought that was an error. It will be interesting to see the results of your post.

Mostly all 83 PLs were far beads I thought. Very few have been found with the near beads cent.

I have both varieties in Business Strike BU, but I only have one variety in for PL, SP, and Proof, and I think they are all Near Beads. The problem is that when compared to the Far and Near Beads in Business Strike, they do not match either variety. I think it is because they are better Mint strike coins, so this changes the distance from the rim slightly. The ebay dealers have sets of Business Strike BU, but not for PL, SP, and Proof. In those Mint Strikes they are only selling Near Beads or do not list a variety. Is anyone planning on listing for sale on ebay or online variety sets in PL, SP, and Proof? I need to buy sets to make sure I get both types for each Mint Strike Type. Thanks.

I asked this question before, and was told that Far and Near Beads exist for all Strike Types, BU, PL, SP, and Proof. Is this correct? I am not seeing sets of both varieties for sale for PL, SP, or Proof anywhere.

I need six more Proof Canada Cents to complete my collection. I nead 1983 (Far Beads, I think), 2010 (Dated 1935-2010), 2011 (Large Cent dated 1911-2011), and three different designs of the silver 2012 pennies (Dove, 1908-1910, and the Maple Leaf).

I have decided that these are not worth collecting. I am tossing them out of the set. The set is not uniformed if Far and Near Beads can only be purchased in BU.
Also, I did not see those photos posted above. They look to me to be Business Strikes and not PL or SP.

I decided to give this another try. I contacted the dealers again this time asking if they have Far and Near Beads or Small and Large Beads in Proof-Like, Specimen, and/or Proof. If a dealer can send me one example of each, then I will post them showing the difference. Rocky posted something earlier on another thread, but the pennies were not side by side and one was zoomed in more than the other one. His 1983 Small Cents are in Proof and they are of Small Beads and Large Beads, not Far and Near Beads. The Small Beads variety appeared to be slightly farther away from the edge than the Large Beads. I am not sure that constitutes Far Beads and Near Beads, because they do not look like the Business Strike coins, but it does appear there is a difference in bead size, which is something, in my opinion, worth adding to the set as a variety difference.

You are correct, in my opinion those are definitely business strikes, neither pl proof or specimen.
Seems this is a frustrating endeavour, and am sorry to say I have nothing to add regarding this variety.

I have taken a step back as well from collecting these. I feel like it's going to end up coming on the market in 10 years and sell for thousands of dollars. Not worth my energy at this time!

For what it's worth, I just sold this pair recently, for a very strong price. Sorry, I do not have any photos of the coins.

Nothing is sure that far and near beads are find only in one kind of the coins. The new discovery could show contrary to what is know at this moment. Mint do not specified clear this point because is hard to prove. if you own a collection like you say, then you has a very nice one.
