I have this 1943-D that I discovered. I tried to take very good photos to show issue. I have a LOT of pennies with MD along the face from the 60's that have OBVIOUS flat doubling. This one is not flat on the second lines of the face. There is also a small hint in the hair and some on the nose.
This one actually looks like Coops Roosevelt and Kennedy with doubled lips...
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance, Robert

They added this trench to enhance the edge of the bust. You can find it on some years on the earlier die state coins. Not just the 1943 cents.

My photos are of the line ON the forehead, not the trench on the flat field. Do you not see that? I have a lot with the "trench" and am well aware of what it looks like. May I suggest looking closely at the 4th photo up from the bottom, to differentiate the line I speak of, from the "trench"?
Thanks,
Robert

That's the CHIN/BEARD, not the bust.

Added a nice picture of a bust "trench" line. After confirming that is indeed a picture of a bust "trench" line that encompasses the CHIN / BEARD, and are of the bust, I would LOVE to get some positive feedback on the original photos I supplied.....
Something along the lines of "Wow, I have never seen that one Robert!. I strongly believe you have the next big rarity in numismatics! You can clearly see the doubling and I expect it to be worth MILLIONS!" would be fine.
I am easy to get along with, and will also accept anything short of that too...Even critical disbelief :) :) :)

Thanks,
Robert
