How rare are these? I've been around for a while and never seen one.
Just curious.

They are not that rare But finding one that will grade MS/PL 65 or better is pretty "tough".

The full 45 degree rotation ones are hard to come by. Lower degrees of rotation are easier to find. Ten to twenty degrees used to go for about $100-$150.

If you were privy to the original sources back in the day it was ....." Depending on how much money you have , I have lots! "
These were back door jobs to some favoured coin dealers in the late 1960s. Along with the double ,triple flip strike dollars and fifty cents and the 1966 Small beads dollars.

When you get massive numbers of the same error type coin, it's probably custom made, back then these coins probably went out the front door.

Just remember hearing stories about JM court battle over the 67 double, triple, flipover strikes and his eventual victory making the coins legal and a listed error, maybe you someone can shed more light on the court battle.
