Hello all. What do you guys think? Weighs .6g less than the average 1943 coin. Significantly thinner and does not appear to be altered in any way. I'm at a loss. Thanks, J

Maybe it's just worn down that much?

Between the first nickel and the second their is a considerable amount of wear explaining the weight difference. For example the top of the letters surrounding the edge on the obverse of the first coin are about 1/4 worn while the other nickels lettering is almost untouched (In terms of visibility). Jefferson hair is almost gone on the first one (His pony tail? Don't know what to call it) but the second one' is still present (Some of this is due to the strike, but general wear and tear also cause the pony tail to almost be gone). Without a rim picture there is also no way to know for sure.
Rest in Peace

Thanks. I gave it a little weight loss but it seemed a little extreme. I will send a thickness photo. Thanks again.
