I'm considering placing an order for the silver Queen's Beasts coins directly through RoyalMintBullion.com (RMB). The sole distributor here in the US (Whole Sale Direct Metals) quoted me US$58 per coin...

Does anyone have any experience, esp. relating to the customs clearance of coins? The order I was thinking of is likely larger than US$2k.

I found some information from US Customs:
https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/de...-and-bullion (there is nothing about silver specifically)
And providing these are declared correctly as "silver bullion", there should not be any duty on them, irrespective of the order amount (well, if above US$10k, then yes, additional paper work will be required).

But what about any fees paid to the carrier (RMB use DHL Express)?

Well, if anyone has any experience (not just with RMB, but other international mints or dealers), then I would appreciate if you could share it.

Thanks!

I'm waiting on them to show up in the US. Looking at that website, I think their coins are overpriced. FYI, I've placed several orders with royalmint.com and have never had a problem.
