1956 LWC With Cracks, Chips And Damaged Hub

1956 seems to be especially hard for Lincoln's head and wheat stalks - I am seeing frequent breaks in those areas? Also chips in the date especially on 1957 and 1958.

I have seen this master hub damage on P and D cents. Some do not show as much as this one (on the 6). Why is that?

That is probably because the broken hub may still be crumbling. But this looks like ones I've seen:

I wonder if any of these (broken hub @ the 6) appear on S minted coins?

Not that year. The San Francisco mint was closed from 1956-1964.

In 1965, 1966 and 1967 the San Francisco mint Struck cents again that year. Business Strike and SMS. Then Proof coins from 1968 forward. Business strikes from 1965-1974 With the 'S' mint mark from 1968-1974 on the business strike coins.
