Not an area I collect so am having trouble identifying it.
Tiny thing with what looks like a young head of Apollo on the Obverse & a Tripod on the Reverse.
Weight - 1.09g
Size - 10mm

I have gone through 400bc - 100bc and have found similar busts and tripod but not together, any help is appreciated.

The bust I can't make out too well but the reverse seems likely to be either Seleukid kingdom or Macedonian...

Doing a quick V-coins search of Apollo Tripod there are 3 pages of coins, but I can't see any which match exactly the writing around the tripod. Several from the aforementioned seem to be similar in style though...

I have tried to decipher the lettering on either side of the tripod, get ready for a good laugh
Left side - Lamda, Epsilon, Xi
Right side - Sigma, Iota, Chi ( unsure ) Omega ( unsure )
Sorry for my ignorance but that makes no sense to me, hopefully it helps.

I suppose the lettering is a magistrate 's name.
I made a copy of the tripod coins in my Greek coin identification book .By comparing the tripods , it must be possible to find the town , but it is a lot of work
good luck . albert

Irbguy , Greek coin types and their identification , Richard Plant , Spink .A very good help , not every type , but till now , it helped me to identify all my coins , because making your search , you find other possibilities .Often a lot of work , but that is what I like . albert

Thank you. I have seen Plant referenced before, but I have never owned nor even used it. But if I were more into Greek coinage it would definitely be on my list.

@echizento, under $40 on Amazon or $30 with shipping on the American Book Exchange

@tenbobbit, thanks for posting your coin--I hadn't realized that there were so many varieties of this basic coin type.
