Looks like dirt on the SE edge? The rest of it may be too beat up to say.

The serif on the NW corner of the mint-mark appears to have two distinct parallel lines, causing one to believe there are two Ds in that blob.... :)

I see that, but with a blurry photo I cannot tell. The other photo does not show the feature. Perhaps a photo shot straight on would help? That would also help with the examination of mint mark positioning...

I'm sorry, but additional photos do not help when they are not clear and contain shadows on the mintmark in areas where there may or may not be split serifs.

I see damage on the lower part of the D. I do not think that indicates D/D.
