Hello community,

This is my second post on this forum. I recently came across the following coin

Coin-Found-In-Greece-With-Unknown-Alphabet

Coin-Found-In-Greece-With-Unknown-Alphabet

One one side, the one with the cart, I can recognise the letters inscribed and judging by the letter after "O" I would say the coin is of Slavic origin (#1041; = B). On the other side though, I have absolutely no clue of the characters which accompany an image of a head with a head piece (?). If there is anyone with knowledge/information on the matter, their help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like a denarius from Republican Rome. Also looks like the silver is chipping off, revealing a bronze core. This would most likely make it a "fourree" or ancient counterfeit. Not worth as much as the original but not without value, as there are active collectors of ancient fakes.

I agree it does appear to be a Roman Republic denarius, but I can't seem to find the Gens (family name) with the letters on the coin. It does also appear to be a fouree.
Rest in Peace

When I first saw the reverse, I thought it said "NO ebay"!

This might be an 'out there' guess but could the language be Oscan? The Italians issued some coins in the language during the Social Wars.

My second guess would be a barbarian imitation/fouree of a republican denarius which I didn't know was a thing but if it is I want one.
