I can't forget about silver and found this Pius to be incredibly preserved.

Excellent coin. AP is one of my favorite emperors. It's always nice to see new coin, but it would also help if you can provide more information about it.

That's an attractive coin, but the reverse motif srikes me (in a Rorschach sort of way) as looking rather like two squids kissing.

By coincidence, just earlier today I placed an order for an Antoninus Pius denarius. My specimen is, as yours appears to be, rather oblong. I'll post it on this forum when it arrives.

Wonderful specimen with an easily identifiable bust portrait.

A wonderful coin to look at again and again and get pleasure from it every time you see it. Congratulations.

I confess I dislike the reverse. They are lightning bolts, but my wife thought they were bugs, albeit squids is apropos as well.

beautiful coin , very interesting legend on reverse. Normally is Providentia represented as a woman with a scepter , or , on coins of Hadrianus , as an eagle giving a scepter to the emperor . As providentiae deorum means :thanks for the care the gods have for the emperor and the represention is a thunderbolt , often an attribute of Jupiter , it is a coin thanking all the gods and especially Jupiter for his care for the welfare of Antininus the Pious;albert
