M_d_in_guy Pillar of the Community Canada 1049 Posts	Posted 04/16/2016 11:57 am I've never seen this on a 47 nickel the extra lines running above the water lines and through K.G. The lines on the back are nowhere else on the coin, I'd thought they may have been from polishing or a file but they are sort of intermittent in a few spots. I don't have a book showing Zoell varieties, if I could ask if anyone do'es could they see if this is a recognized minor variety, tyia. Report this Post to the Staff

It sounds like the same thing that caused the lines in the 50 dollar. I was wondering about the extra lines if perhaps that was documented by Zoell as a minor variety.....
