Hi, I am having a hard time with this 1970 D quarter. Is it just a worn coin or is there something going on with it. Thanks!!

Hang onto that 1970-D quarter. I have a few that are very similar. I am currently making an all out effort to discover what has caused these errors. I can guess it's an early unfinished die or hub that was used for testing. Time will tell, maybe years before it's discovered.

Honore , it"s called MD ( Machine Doubling) and it's not an error, plus it doesn't add any value in other words spendable.
