Damaged punch is to blame I think. This came up a little while back.

I remember the damaged punch thread rackster-was it a '79 I can't remember?

I believe so. The reason is that I had set a few aside for study but never got to it. Since, I found an AU/BU specimen which shows the damaged MM. What I don't recall is the upper corner details. Is there damage there on your coin?
