Mintage: 10,000 $44.95 CAD $3 denomination 1/4oz and 27mm But why do the roses look like chocolate? There is no explicit link to the 60th year of reign or the Queen's birthday so I'm not sure where this coin is headed or why it is been release as a stand alone coin instead of part of the April or May release. Could be nice looking one, and the rose-gold usually does appeal. But here you right - chocolate.....and no clear identifier of the commemoration.

Could be that this just rendered picture destroys all the impression. If the roses will be real pink gold color - will be nice small coin.

FYI, the coin is now on the Mint website for all to see. The pic showing it in the clamshell does look a bit pinkish (or is that slightly less brown).

Mintage of 10,000 yet only showing just over 900 in stock. Someone has a crap load of these.

Ya but as always the Mint only sells a percentage of the total mintage from their website, maybe like 1500 to 2000 on a 10k mintage , the rest go to dealers etc. So its not 900 remaining on 10k. They will likely sell out what they have allocated on their site as the price is low enough and its a Mothers day thing. But I doubt there will be much profit for those trying to resell on ebay etc. But who knows for sure ..shrug..

Nice coin for a Mother's Day gift, wrap it up, put it in a flower pot tied with a big bow! Lol!

Quote: New Inukshuk" coin? No, the difference between the Inukshuk and this coin is 4000 more mintage. Past Royal coins show huge drops in value within few months. They never do well.

One exception that I can think of,
The Queen Mother (1900-2002) SD, mintage 10000, issue price $49.95, sells for over $200.

Colonial Acres has both Royal coins in the stock. The limit - 5 only per customer (hot?) I personally like both:the $20 1oz very nicely done, elegant and true Royal. The collectors, who like the theme should be pleased. The small $3 "Rose" coin, doesn't really has a theme. The rendering at CA looks way better than RCM's "chocolate". As someone said here - good gift, although please remember, that if gifted person not collector - she / he just will not be interested in the coin. Saying above - will not order - not my theme, but good to see, RCM able to strike nice NCLTs. Update: [10:05 AM EST] Both coins became available at the CC&C ***LIMIT OF 1 PER HOUSEHOLD*** But you might want to wait for The Coin Shoppe update and get these and some other coins from that store.
