I tried looking this up but everything I found that was similar, had a "apm" mark and said "31.1 grams" on the side of the balance scale. Any info helps.

I do know that pieces like this are ending up among the items counterfeited by the Chinese.

Simple test: weigh it and see if it really is 1 troy ounce. The Chinese fakes are almost always the wrong weight.

My bogus Chinese Morgan has this STU balance reverse. But it's an 1882 and was $1.30, so it ads some humor to my collection.

I got a fake one as well. Mine was also mechanically aged, but silver plated. It weighs about 27 grams, which is 4 grams short of what it should be. Sizes were correct, though. I guess that, if it's about the same coin, it's a Chinese counterfeit coin, 'cause that is what I ended up with. The good news is that I didn't pay the silver price for it.
