I don't know much about this coin, it was one of my first about 15 years ago. It's large (dime for reference) and really neat but not much is legible except what you see here. Any help is appreciated for this novice collector. Thanks in advance!

Out of my wheel house, but try checking coins from Spain (Roman Provincial/Celtic).

@davidsv, please help us with the letters that are visible. I think that I can make out S P O N T. Is that right? Are there more letters which are visible with the coin in hand that aren't coming through in your pics? Better pics would help too I think.

"S P O N T" and what looks to be a sword are all that are visible, hence the challenge! Thanks for taking a look!

You are right, "PONT BALBVS" sestertius, a very very rare coin from ancient gades

This coin usually appears in a very poor condition, in the image you can see a tooled coin
