My 9 year old son's son's collection is growing. He just got a bunch of token at a really good deal (I think) ..and I am thinking some of them are a bit harder to get.
What are your opinions on these tokens?

Meltodd those are a good start to a token collection. I have not studied these as much as the decimal series so I have no idea on value. I have a small collection of tokens and to my eye those are in nice shape. Imagine over 200 years old.

Guessing around $60-$70 for the group?

Decent tokens (shame about the rim ding on the '23)

The first is a NOVA SCOTIA HALFPENNY TOKEN. These were well executed
and exhibit considerable detail. This is identified in Charlton as
NA-1A1. I am unable to determine whether the edge is plain or engrailed.
Grade VF 30 / rim ding and several obverse punch marks. Value 25 Canadian funds.

The second is listed in Charlton's as UC-5A 1 or 2. UC-5A1 has a reeded edge,
whereas UC-5A2 has a plain edge. This should grade F 12 / value 20 Canadian funds.

The third is listed in Charlton's as LC-47B1. Grade XF 40. These can normally be
purchased for 50-75 Canadian funds.

The fourth is listed as Charlton's NS-9. Grade is VF 20, distracting obverse dings.
As such, another 40 dollar Canadian funds token.
