hello CCF

couple of days ago I read a thread about a die clash on a 1916 or '18 Buffalo nickel. I tryed looking for it but I could't find it.
for some reason.

Nways ,after I read that thread I noticed some similar markers on a 1917 coin that I have

there seems to be something going on under his chin

is this a die clash ?

is it realy?
is this a documented variety ? I went to look on mad die clashes but could not find anything, only a 1918 that has the same markers under his chin and under the feather.

Die clashes aren't varieties, they are die stages. A pair of dies can clash, the clash can wear away or be polished off and then clash again. Or two different die pairs can clash and they will look pretty much identical. A pair of dies reates one variety. Those dies can clash, crack, get worn, be repolished, in rare cases even get touched up, but all the coins from that die pair are the same variety.

This type of clash is VERY COMMON and probably exists on all dates. As of now, it adds no value to your coin except the value of an education.
