Is the 45-day period new? I also notice the Silver MC level is not included in "Exclusive Access"......RCM must be whispering to hurry and spend $500 more. EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO SELECT COINS One of the exciting new features of the Masters Club is our commitment to designing and producing three low mintage coins each program year that are made with Masters Club members in mind. With each release, you'll get an exclusive 45-day period in which to purchase the coins. At least 90% of the mintage for each coin will be reserved for Masters Club members. We want to surprise you, so the coin designs will only be revealed when they launch. However, we can share that each coin will be crafted in 99.99% fine silver. These coins include a one-ounce scallop-shaped coin, a two-ounce coin with gold-plating and a one-ounce coin that incorporates an innovative technology—each one sure to compliment your collection!" http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/custo....Vx6hYdTOerU

I have no idea what they envisioned with the 45 day period. If a coin sits in MC for 45 days without selling out, then they clearly missed the mark. Also, the exclusive coins were always supposed to be gold and above but again, the Mint didn't bother to follow that plan for either of the first two exclusives. Pretty much anyone who knew about the coins could order them.

Quote: one-ounce coin that incorporates an innovative technology Does anyone know what is supposed to be "innovative" about the Polar Bear coin? And why is it called a "Polar Bear" when there are obviously two bears on the coin?

That was a prelude to "hurry, buy now"? Just joking! But creating a sense of urgency is the oldest sales tactic in the great book of the mystical world of marketing, A group of sales reps all advising their clients that it's "selling fast" can indeed cause it to "sell fast". @ CC. Thanks for clarifying. What you state makes good sense.

Possibly it represents an environmental theme..."the significance of climate change and its impact on the polar bear population"?

Actually, the "Polar bear" is innovative. It has the enamel with the relief under it, but not same, like was in the "Lakes" and "Masks", now it real design under the enamel. Quote: And why is it called a "Polar Bear" when there are obviously two bears on the coin? I think, RCM really literally labels the coin. This is "Polar Bear with the Cub", so there is actually one Bear. The coin is innovative and might be nice, but doubtfully will be a hit, so let's wait and see it available for ~CAD 70.

@silveroid
The Polar Bear has a fairly low mintage of 4,000, an attractive price of only $109 (lets face it, they could have easily charged $125 for the coin) and the label of "Master's Club exclusivity" attached to it, I think it won't go below it's issue price anytime soon. If that Pysanka egg coin with the same mintage of 4,000 can go for double its issue price, I don't see why this coin can't as well? Just my opinion.

It's called "Polar Bear with Blue Enamel". There are two bears. The fact that one of them is a cub is irrelevant. Thanks for the explanation of the innovation. That may well be what the Mint is selling.

I agree, CoinCanuck, the coin isn't bad (even nice imo), and specifications close to current year hit. But reading posts here and there, I do not see people "jumping" on it. (The "Pysanka" after all, like the Inukshuk, started with very low amount at RCM). Well....maybe not CAD 70, but just no demand. RCM wants to sell, CC-Ottawa, that way, they will label the coin for most sale-ability. "The Polar Bear" - sounds very Canadian and bold. "The Bear and the Cub" - too "familish".

Thanks for high level MC members on the other forum: the "Polar Bear with Blue Enamel" coin already awailable from RCM (assuming not to all MC levels). According to the screenshot, there is limit of 3 per household, and mentioned: " Awaiting Stock in store" In order not to be disappointed (like some people with the Voyageur coin) - please call the Mint and insist on sale. If the CSR not ready to sell - ask a manager - he will sell (after all, they chase for sales). Tell them: " I know, that you have it, and want to buy it". IMO, better that non-MC collectors will buy it, rather then re-sellers will hoard it.

Not available for Platinum MC members yet. Have not received the email from my rep nor able to access it online. We are supposed to get them one day after the high rollers but not the case.

CELEBRATING THE 40TH SEASON OF THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS - 2016 $20 1 oz Pure Silver CoinThe Coin Shoppe has it already for sale. The logo is well done, faceless humanoid is "more or less ok". Anyway, not bad for hard-die fans. But the mintage...... Thinking about this - we're lucky with RCM. Except the commissioned coins and Privy Maple Leafs flood - the coins are Canadian for Canadians. In other side: Produced by Polish for Niue with Greek relation? Funny gift for Sys Admins and Computer Security specialist, otherwise just another overpriced series...

I like the Star Trek coins. Interest to know the mintage of the Star Trek coin and Stamp sets and what are the stamps. I like the $20 for $20
