Coin Show Saturday, volunteered the day, spent some
money, had great chats with dealers and coin/banknote
hobbyists, gave away goody bags to young numismatists,
sold wooden tokens (so fun to say - "Would you like to
buy a wooden nickel?", even funnier to hear "yes"), met
some big players in the local market, and saw some
awesome coins and notes.
My Pickups from Silver Saturday

Sunday Gold, I packed my gear in the car, scraped the
frost off the windshield, wondered if it was too cold to
go - for a second, and then drove for 45 minutes, panned
gold on the shore in the ocean for about three hours and
then headed home. Calm seas, bright sun, low tide and
the gleam of yellow in the bottom of the pan. Here is a
macro shot of the results with numismatic reference for
scale.
