Weight (6.77g) and composition (.917) seem about right to be KM#85. Should be around $75-100 in this condition. Looks ok to me, but I'm not an expert.
Rest in Peace

I think also, that the coin is good after examination of the pictures.

The value shoulde be set a little lower though (around 35-50 bucks).

Thank you to all who responded, your time and effort is appreciated.
Question for Parklane64 - you are the only one concerned about coin not being genuine - why your concern?

Mike.

I collect 8 reales so I know there are many good looking forgeries out there. I'm not so familiar with the 2 reales but I would hesitate to pass judgement without at least a description of the edge design. After all, the mints used an edging mill to impress a leaf pattern in order to make it difficult to counterfeit so why wouldn't you look there to help determine the coin's authenticity?

Also, I'm curious how you tested the silver content.
Rest in Peace
