This is a superb example, very similar to the coin I got from Ken here. That makes three fake 3CS for me, 1 1860 and 2 1861.

At first glance it seens legit, but comparing it to another, I find it obviously fake.

What I always notice is the symmetry of the shield. On that detail, I think this one resembles the other you posted a while ago. These contemporary forgeries are cool.

Those 61s could be from the same die...you make that comparison yet, Prethen?

I haven't spent much time looking at it yet, Ken. I will probably do that and see if they're from an identical die which is quite possible.

Amazingly close...I think they are from the same die! That is really cool! All these years and they are reunited!
