Here are two views of the same coin. Both are accurate depending upon how the light hits the piece. The coin is a true numismatic chameleon.

That is an incredible demonstration of just how different two pictures of the same coin can be.
If someone listed this coin on ebay with the second set of pictures and the buyer saw it like the first, and posted a topic here on CCF asking people's opinion of whether he had been cheated (something I have seen here before)
Tell yourselves right now and be honest what you would respond. I venture to say that many of us would immediately take the side of the buyer, and advise them to complain/return the coin.
The seller would be called a cheat.
Great lesson IMNSHO (that is own acronym see if you can see what I did there)

my first thought was proof also. i'll go PF65. I've been wrong on the majority of Bill's coins so this wont surprise me at all.

I've seen many silver coins with the coloration shown in the 2nd set of pics so I would not advise a return. it's killer
