chequer Pillar of the Community Canada 4227 Posts	Posted 05/07/2016 08:35 am Picked up this gem in one of the lots in the Geoffrey Bell Auction at Toronto Coin Expo - this coin was the main reason I wanted the lot. Strong die clash (lighter clash on the other side) and what looks like a doubled die too. Nice toning - still working on a full coin shot. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm not familiar with Argetinian coins so I don't know if the size of the date is reduced by Machine Doubling. If the size of the date is larger than normal, it is a doubled die, if not, it is Machine Doubling. But you still have a doubled die because of the doubling on FINO. A die clash and a doubled die on the same coin! I've never seen that before. I seriously recommend getting this graded as I don't think the TPG's have seen this error combo very often. Awesome coin!
