I'll be there. I didn't see you at the Woodstock show, tfred. I imagine you were in Montreal or Toronto. Why we schedule a show the same day as the big guys is beyond me. Bells went to the other guys as well. I still have my red beard, I'll be by. Chequer, being a tea collector Saint John is like a holy pilgrimage to me. I assume you may be able to help me with a "type set" of Red Rose revenue stamp cheques. Do you know of any stamp guys that would have either Tiger Tea or Union tea envelopes/post cards? They seldom come up on ebay. Could you two put your feelers out for "Peel Lumber Co." tokens? I need those and some Woodstock Indian Band wooden nickels to round out my Carleton County collection. I will be glad to see you all again!

Looking forward to the show and meeting anyone who makes it. Quote: I assume you may be able to help me with a "type set" of Red Rose revenue stamp cheques. I don't actually know what I have (badly unorganized with my cheques) and I'm not even sure I have many. I believe I only have one with the Red Rose building on it and I don't even know where it is I don't know stamps or stamp people, but there should be some in attendance since the show is held in conjunction with the stamp club.

I thought the show was on the 22nd so I am glad the date was posted here. I sent an email of to Brittannia Numismatics to see if he will be there. There are a few things on his ebay store I want. What are you going to be selling? Cheques and wooden nickels? My new wooden nickel book brought some more local tokens to my attention.

Quote: My new wooden nickel book brought some more local tokens to my attention. And that's just the first edition ... the 2nd and 3rd will likely have even more. I've been so busy I don't know what I'm going to have ... a mishmash of everything by the looks of it. I don't think Britannia has a table, but I'm not positive.

Harmonica, I checked my wood spreadsheet and the native one I have is for the "Kingsclear Indian Reserve."

I just noticed this post. Kingsclear Indian Reserve (now Kingsclear First Nations) is right outside of Fredericton.
I do not know why I didn't snap up those North Sydney wooden nickels you had.
What does the newer books have for Carleton county (Woodstock I suppose, maybe Florenceville or Hartland)?

The second edition lists a few for Florenceville (TH) and a couple for Woodstock (Kilmarnock?). The third edition, the largest of the books, has a few more TH (Florenceville). There are other smaller NB communities listed and it wouldn't surprise me if one or more are in Carleton county, as my NB geographical knowledge of towns isn't that great.

Neat. I was talking to TH, all his Christmas cards are in his personal collection but the ones giving as voting favours are being brought to the next coin club meeting and I will buy them from him a buck a piece.
Kilmarnock? I have one from Gibson Falls good for a half deck of cards, is that the one you mean? Kilmarnock is the waterfall in Gibson Falls I believe.
With the Hartland Covered Bridge being the tourist trap it is and the McCain's brothers owning Florencville I am surprised I can't find tokens (Wooden or otherwise) for those things. I think the Franklin mint made one for the bridge but that doesn't turn my crank.

There are two: one says Woodstock NB/Hospitality Home Coming/Smith 87 on one side and Good for one buck in Kilmarnock with a buck's head on the other.
The other says Kilmarnock Camps 1988 Gibson Falls, NB/the Hon. Bammer Paves the way on one side and Good for one Halif a Deck with playing cards on the other (sounds like the one you have). I don't have either. (Don't think I have Tim's either.)
