I wanted to see how many of us methodically buy at least a silver or gold bullion bar, round or coin each week.

Well not sure I count too much.. but I check my LCS every week to get some junk silver (US and foreign) at spot price and resell it for a tiny profit. Basically enough to keep a dime/quarter or some random foreign coin I like every week.

I have been buying from my local pawn shop each week for the last few months. They also sell at spot, so I've felt good about the prices. Mister Kairu, how do you normally resell your junk silver?

If I'm lucky, twice a week. I buy weekly from my LCS, it's very unusual they don't have ANY in stock. The second time of the week is owed to my bargain hunting, Occationally I come across a silver coin, sometimes more than one. However the total amount of silver is very low, I just have to scratch the itch

Maybe not every week but usually if we skip a week or two we buy more when we go.

I feel bad because our LCS has really gone downhill. They used to have several employees, but are now down to just the owner who only seems to be around a few hours a day. The building the shop is in has closed and I'm not sure if it will reopen.
Sad thing is I found some M&B bars and other fairly unique pieces that are expensive on e-bay. I don't care as much about making money on them as the enjoyment of not knowing what's new.
For those of you who have good LCS in your area, you are fortunate. It's also kinda strange not having a local place to sell, although I'm yet to sell anything.

If I can physically USE the metal I buy it. If not I stock up if I think the price is seasonally low (several factors affect this in my area). Where I am the price hovers flat or it goes up - it usually goes up because of our crappy exchange rate.

I was buying every paycheck, but since it's gone over $17 I haven't bought anything. I guess I got spoiled by the $15ish spot price.

If you buy regularly, learn all you can about 'dollar cost averaging'.
This a commonsense approach that is often used by many on the stockmarket.

I have been buying weekly for the past 5 years.
Some weeks there is so much it is hard to choose.
Some weeks end up buying anything silver, or I pick more collector coins.

@weeds, I just put them up on ebay and they usually go for around 12-13x face (back when I was paying about 10x face) so the profit isn't much but a couple bucks a week. Still enjoy doing it though and I never know what I am going to find in their junk bin on a weekly basis. :)

I try to buy daily/weekly from private parties but the vast majority have premiums that exceed most online corporate dealers. I've yet to find a LCS that sells around spot value. Now I mainly buy from online dealers for low premiums. Ceases to amaze me ppl want a $4 premium for private minted bullion when I can buy it online at $.59 over spot.

I don't buy every week but I do try to add some ounces when I can. I have done this for the past few years.
