I am a new member. My brother is the US coin collector. He isn't "choosy", and appreciates all kinds of coins. I want to get him another for his next Bday. I have bought him most of his "nicer" coins, a Morgan, a Liberty cap, etc. I was interested in the 3 cent silver. Not the nickel, but the trime. I wanted to invest about 150-200 dollars. Anyone know someone in the market? I have been browsing ebay daily. Most of those are "bid" type sales. I want to buy now.
Suggestions? Sellers?

I like the XF 45 1858 listed at 157.33 best offer in the ebay link posted. The coin has some nice rim toning and nice eye appeal. I would offer $130 for the coin. The coin has a mintage of 1.6 million.

That one caught my eye as well, until I looked at the reverse. That coin has also been cleaned. Look at the hairlines on the reverse.

First things first - to CCF. I think you should start your own collection. You've got a great eye for coins.

Also, you would do well to review the April, 2016, issue of CoinAge magazine. There's an entire article about Trimes. There's a lot of information that would really help you to make an informed purchase. Trimes come in more than one flavor. PLEASE do some research before you lay down $200. Best wishes, Jack
